Gal focused on mental aspect

ORLANDO, Fla. - Sandra Gal understands sex appeal is part of their growing popularity as an LPGA professional, but she wants primarily to carry out their game to be known.
She told GolfChannel.com Tuesday that they do not, however, called the "Greatest Golfer" on the planet, as long as it promotes the game women. Two weeks ago, won Gal GolfDigest.com 's inaugural "Hottest Golfer" contest in an online voting competition.
"To be honest, I do not consider myself the most attractive girls out there, but it's nice to see a lot of people participated in this vote," said Gal. "Hopefully they can bring more attention to the women's game."Gal, 26, is known for playing in short skirts. She has experience modeling for a fashion magazine in her native Germany, and Callaway. She was growing up in ballet.
"I do not really work on that image, maybe it's something that happens naturally," said Gal. "I have a bit of work for Callaway and their catalogs, but I'm really concentrating on my game and the best athlete I can be. That's always going to focus my number 1."
Gal enjoyed a breakthrough season last year, her fourth LPGA as a pro, she won her first LPGA event, the Kia Classic, and their first European Solheim Cup team. You want her debut at the 2012 LPGA season opener next week at the Australian Open, the ISPS Handa Women at Royal Melbourne.
How are you going to top 2011?
"It will be hard to top," said Gal. "It was a great year. I'm just the stuff from last year, where improvements are required to take and work on them, and build up my strength, and hopefully we can make it an even better year this year.
"I looked over my stats from last year, and I need to improve on my driving style. I have not been many so fairways hit, and I did not hit as many greens from there. So I'm working really, dass"
Gal said she has begun working with Pia Nilsson and Lynn Marriott Vision 54 teams.
"Another great aspect that I've worked is my mental game," said Gal. "I think it is very strong, but it needs improvement."

TPC Scottsdale's 16th brings the noise

To go as a par 3, is the 16th TPC Scottsdale Neither hole nor gorgeous grueling.
It is not nearly as good as the seventh at Pebble Beach photography and it certainly does not baffle the world's best players as No. 12 at Augusta National. In terms of historical value, Scottsdale's 16th not really belong. Tiger Woods aced it in 1997, but otherwise the cupboard is pretty bare.
Since it is the third-to-last hole on the golf course, you would think the 16th has the final result of many Phoenix Opens affected over the years.
It is not, especially when applied to the island-green 17th Place at TPC Sawgrass, which has become a graveyard of disappointed hopes, at the Players Championship. Quail Hollow 17th Hole is a par 3 16th is better than Scottsdale.Riviera Country Club has some excellent short.
In an age where making a lot of noise can make you famous Scottsdale's 16th of its kind on a red carpet of golf elbow by simply turning up the volume on the yahoo factor. This weekend program will be plenty of action from the 16th, where the Coliseum-like capacity to about 20,000, where the atmosphere has become a cross between a grown are "Let's Make a Deal" audience and a Alabama-Auburn Football game.
I suppose that in golf can be hair, it's front pages. The 17th at Sawgrass is known that a little fan to produce excitement, but nothing like the organized chaos in Scottsdale, where does the name "Waste Management Open 'kind of sense. No other tour stop in the position is such a scene, and thus the little par 3 that roared has basically given the event a unique identity.
Good for the game? Bad for the game? I see no harm. Honest fun in the middle of winter, so many have never had a golf tournament before an afternoon on the 16thvisited, then stumbled away to think every weekend on the PGA Tour is a blast.Because it measures only 162 yards, one would think, maybe only the hole extended to accommodate more seats. If it proceeds, there is always room.
In reality, could the last three holes at TPC Scottsdale all use a bit more muscle. As a final cover has to go out of date 16-17-18: a short iron, then a mobile par-4, then a driver / wedge in a wide, clear goal. There is nothing wrong with the fellas a chance to score, but this does not end soft do much to your long-term competitive advantage to enhance drama.
Then again, I guess you just might Leave Well Enough Alone. If you are on what used to the old Greater Hartford Open, attracting the Phoenix-like masses, but has struggled happened in the last few years, this week is the Tour stop one of the few that creates an extreme level of local interest. A little noise never hurt anyone. It also does not have a lot of noise.
